Viewport Toward Myself

This site-specific work was created for the 2009 exhibition Thoughts in Circles and Squares at NOMA Gallery. This piece punctured a false wall covering a window with a yellow polymer tube. No view could be seen through the tube since the exterior window was blocked by a shade hiding the false wall, however the light coming through the scrim-like curtain illuminated the tube giving it an ever-changing glow that shifted both from day to day, and over the course of each day; sometimes glowing brightly and other times enclosing a mysterious dark void.
