During July and August of 2009 project 7 virtually hosted a retrospective of the ephemeral installation work of Norwegian artist Kjell Varvin. Begun in 2000, and displayed on his various online blogs, Varvin’s on-going series of “proposals” filter minimalist tropes though an improvisational methodology. The works exist only for brief periods before being reworked, and persist durably only as digital photographs. Each of the 60 days of this virtual show, the front-page of zachary scholz.com featured a different image from this on-going project.
